Barstad Motorsports is comprised of Brent and Angie Barstad and their son, the race car driver, Nick Barstad. The Barstad family has many family members and friends that are current and past armed forces members and vets. It is these strong connections that have made the Barstad’s want to do something special for the troops. Angie Barstad contacted Jeff LeBaron to see how they could combine their love of racing with their support of the troops. Bill Collins, the owner of, Interstate Truck Driving School, and a vet himself, came onboard with the Barstads in 2013 to help with their racing. This year, Bill and his company are back with the Barstad’s and helping with the Pets Loyal 2 Vets cause in a big way.

Barstad Motorsports with the support from Bill Collins and Interstate Truck Driving School will be advertising and helping to raise money for Pets Loyal 2 Vets at race tracks across the Midwest and at several local Minnesota events including the Minnesota State Fair, County Fairs and parades. Along with providing support in several different ways to PL2V and Barstads Motorsports, Bill is providing a show car that will be used for events for the times when Nick is on the road with the race car.

This show car will look identical to Nick’s race car. Kids will be able to sit in it and touch it at all events, including the Corn Roast event in July. Barstad Motorsports and Bill Collins and Interstate Truck Driving School will be selling PL2V bracelets and t-shirts and accepting monetary donations wherever they go. Everyone is excited to be part of this partnership and watch the Pets Loyal 2 Vets organization grow and flourish.
