Seeking new dogs for veterans

Pets Loyal 2 vets is seeking great candidate dogs from the Twin Cities area for veterans in its training programs. These dogs will receive extensive training then partnered up with a veteran.

Our current needs have us looking to adopt four great candidate dogs from the Twin Cities area for our veterans. We look for dogs that will provide many years of companionship and support for these veterans they will be assisting.


Best candidate dogs would be:

  • Male or Female
  • Spayed or Neutered
  • 1 1/2 to 2 1/2 years of age
  • Low to medium energy level (calm preferred)
  • 35 to 60 pounds
  • non-aggressive
  • Micro-chipped
  • Up to date on all shots and vaccines
  • Heart worm tested and proven negative
  • House trained
  • Crate trained
  • Does not pull hard on leash
  • Does not dig in yards
  • Must love kids
  • Must not be a nuscence barker
  • Should be easy and loves to train
  • Rides easy in the car
  • Must not show signs of neglect, or un-clipped nails
  • No injury scars or health issues
  • Calm loving personality
  • Not a resource guarder
  • Loves going on walks
  • Gets along with other dogs

If you are a foster dog family with a rescued dog that meets these requirements, or a rescue organization that may have a dog that meets these requirements, we’d love to see and meet your dog. We only accept adult dogs from foster families tied to a rescue organization, dogs from rescue organizations or dogs from Animal Humane Shelters.
