10 FOSTER HOME TRAINERS IN 2017 WANTED
The time has come and 2016 is nearing an end and you have considered fostering a dog for disabled Minnesota veterans. Well, 2017 is a great year to begin that journey. We are looking for foster dog trainers who are willing to foster train dogs for Pets Loyal 2 Vets. Fostering a dog that will eventually be CGC trained and adopted to veterans with PTSD, traumatic brain injuries and physical assault traumas while serving their country is honorable and rewarding.
We do not currently have any dogs waiting for foster trainers but if you are interested, please fill out the application so you are on our waiting list. If you have fostered dogs before or this is your first time and want to show your support for Minnesota veterans, or simply love fostering a variety of dogs and want to keep doing this to show your support for Minnesota veteran, please use the form below. To be considered, you must be at least 21 years of age, have a safe and stable home environment, have no anger issues, drive a safe and dependable vehicle,
Fostered dogs bring fun and enjoyment to your family as well as showing that you support Minnesota veterans. We only accept foster trainers who take fostering serious. If you miss two classes without them being made up before the next class starts, you have fallen far behind to catch up and will be dropped from the program. So if you apply, know this going into it that it is vitally important that you attend all training classes. We understand that emergencies, illnesses and vacations may arise during your tour as a foster trainer. So it is your responsibility to have another member of your household attend the class on your behalf on those rare occasions but not be your permanent substitute. If they do, they must have attended at least one previous class before filling in for you. If you take the foster dog on your family vacation, it is your responsibility to inform us at least two weeks ahead of time so you are provided with the training sheets while you are gone and emergency contact information.
Foster dogs are invited to our special fundraising events where veterans can see the dogs that will eventually be trained to meet their needs. Will you be a foster family in 2017?
