The Fund Raising Director will be responsible for developing a strategic plan for soliciting donated funds, merchandise goods & services and equipment from local and national sponsors and develop a committee of volunteers to assist in meeting our goals. This is an ongoing position and critical to the needs and operations of PetsLoyal2Vets facility.  This position carries one vote but only for non-fiscal related business matters.

As an Ambassador for Pets Loyal 2 Vets, you must;

  • Be professional when calling and follow through with potential sponsors
  • Be able to show a successful track record in fund raising during the past 5 years
  • Attend all monthly board meetings with progress updates
  • Work closely with the Executive Director and board members to achieve desired goals
  • Communicate clearly and be available for presentations with sponsors if needed
  • Committed to see funding efforts through from start to completion
  • Trustworthy and dependable while representing Pets Loyal 2 Vets
  • Possess a passion and drive to open doors, make new and rewarding contacts and feel good about it at the end of the day
  • Committed to Pets Loyal 2 Vets fundraising efforts while maintaining exclusivity for the organization
  • Have No conflicts of interest while fundraising for Pets Loyal 2 Vets
  • Fundraising is all about meeting people, reaching out and successfully sharing our mission and goals

Education/Experience:

  • 4 year degree in finance, non-profit fundraising, public relations
  • Must have at least 4 years experience in fund raising for a non-profit business
  • Be actively connected to various social media platforms
  • Comfortable with talking in public
  • Able to confidently approach potential donors and corporate sponsors for cash donations and silent auction items
  • Is polished and professional in appearance and demeanor
  • Able to illustrate by way of examples of previous successes in fundraising
  • Possess a track record of 4 years or more successful fundraising efforts

This position requires direct hands on support so you must live within Minneapolis or St. Paul Minnesota or southern suburbs and attend all monthly board meetings. This is an important position vital to the success of our mission and goals and will be responsible for maintaining and establishing new relationships with individuals and corporations throughout the philanthropic community.

You will work closely with the board of directors, Marketing, Media and Public Relations Directors and the Special Events Coordinator to achieve desired goals. We seek a great personality and a professional who walks the talk and is committed to the success of the organization. This is a high visibility position for the right person who is able to open new doors and look at the big picture.
